The 'Queen Of Pop', Madonna's new song, '4 Minutes' taken from her latest 11th album 'Hard Candy' is set to be released on the 24th of March. The song is a duet with American singer-songwriter, Justin Timberlake, who also co-wrote it. When words got around that Madonna will be working with hit-maker Timbaland for the upcoming album, many are anticipating what kind of work will they come up with.
Rolling Stone describes it : “4 Minutes” has a bit of a marching band aesthetic as blasting brass play a scale-like riff, a hard, clanging beat enters and Madonna sings that the “road to heaven is paved with good intentions.” Timberlake and Madonna trade verses, and he appears on the chorus, doing his best Michael Jackson impression while quickly crooning, “We’ve only got four minutes to save the world.” The track ends after a brief breakdown where everything drops out but one of Tim’s signature Bhangra beats, some stabs of brass and Madonna’s urgent tick-tock’s. It’s a loud, busy, energetic track."
While the song, originally titled '4 Minutes To Save The World', may sound like a hit, it certainly received quite a number of negative feedbacks. Many have said Madonna's voice is drowned. And it sounds more like featuring Madonna instead of Justin.
While I'm never really a fan of her and her songs, I personally feel it's deffo a hit. It's a typical Timbaland production clearly - over-produced beats and insanely futuristic beats.
The song has grown on me - as a Timbaland's. Not Madonna's.
To be honest, I like the song because of Timbo's beats and Timber's voice.
Anyway here's an interesting thing about that 'old thief' : she is accused of ripping off everything Kylie, AGAIN.

This morning I had an orientation day for new prefects. It was what I would say, interesting. I managed to discover a few things about myself and matters regarding prefectship. This month’s the third month of me being a prefect. And I don’t know if I’ve made the wrong decision in accepting this post. My wise friend once warned me, ‘when you become a prefect, things will change. People around you will change.’ She didn’t elaborate any further. But I’m sure she specifically meant ‘friends’ .So far I’ve never encountered that sort of experience. However, I can feel that tiny buds of negative change are appearing. And things may set to change. And people too. I don’t really know what’s happening now and I can’t comprehend fully but if there’s one thing I know, it’s I cannot prevent that from happening. Should I keep consoling myself? Or should I jump to conclusion? Should I be uncertain and doubtful? It’s perhaps best to leave things as they are. And see what happens next.

Hong Kong celebrities Edison Chen, Bobo Chan, Gillian Chung and Cecilia Cheung are currently embroiled in an embarrassing sex photo scandal that has whipped up a storm in the territory and the rest of the Chinese-speaking world.
Everything started on January 27th when numerous photographs of the celebrities were all posted online. Gillian Chung's company, Emperor Entertainment, soon declared the pictures to be photoshopped fakes.
But as more and more photos were released into public domain, the newspapers soon changed their tune. Various photography experts have also told the media that the pictures are hard to fake and do not seem modified. Even the Hong Kong cops soon conceded that the pictures appear real.
According to an informed source close to the person who was the source of the photographs, several months ago Edison Chen sent his pink Apple Powerbook laptop to a Central computer shop for repairs. The technician made the accidental discovery that there were several hundred photographs and videos of Edison Chen and/pr more than a dozen celebrities/artistes (many of whom were listed by the media and netizens as prime suspects after the first photographs of Gillian Chung, Bobo Chan and Cecilia Cheung appeared), and he downloaded them onto his own computer.
The informed source said that the technician only intended to keep the material for his own enjoyment. Then one day he invited some friends over to his Ma On Shan apartment to play mahjong and he casually mentioned that he had some "good" stuff to show them. When his friends saw the material, they were astonished and lobbied him to post to the Internet. He did not want to do so himself, because he knew that Edison Chen has his contact information. So finally a female friend agreed to undertake the task of posting onto the Internet. That was how it happened.
A slew of Hong Kong female stars which include Maggie Q, Stephy, Niki Chow, Cecilia Cheung, Rosanne, Elva, Jolin, Gillian and Bobo Chan. But as of now, only photos of three stars have been posted and the rest of them have been spared thus far. Rumour has it that the 'best' (Maggie Q) will be saved for the last.
More and more photos (there are 1300++) are expected to be found as well as a 32-minute video.

Jolin Tsai and Kylie Minogue, these two pop queens of the western and eastern music industries, are going to cross boundaries to work with each other. Australian pop diva, Kylie Minogue has recorded a song with Taiwanese singer, Jolin Tsai. The third song from Kylie's first album in 4 years, "In My Arms" was chosen. However, the duet is included only in the Asian Edition of 'X'.
Apparently, both of them recorded separately and Jolin was quoted saying that she imagined recording the song next to the Australian star and that she felt happy to have the golden opportunity to sing alongside with her idol. Jolin also considers Kylie as a 'goddess'. Jolin was also invited to attend a to attend the premiere of White Diamond, a personal documentary about Kylie after her successful battle with breast cancer. Jolin also presented her latest album and prepared an exclusively selected jade as a gift for Kylie.
On the other side, Kylie said that she had watched Jolin's videos and felt that her (Jolin) presence on the stage is somewhat similar to her own. 
It all started with Jolin's performance in May 2006 at the Thailand's MTV awards ceremony. She performed a complete music video version [Dancing Diva] along with her ribbon dance and ball movements. Her performance stunned many overseas singers as well as the personnel of the overseas EMI company. In July 2007 when Jolin went to England to learn new stuff, EMI boss Chen Yi-Shan brought about their cooperation.
Jolin sang 3 version and after Kylie listened to all 3, she chose the version whereby Jolin sang almost all of the chorus and also praised that Jolin's voice is very sexy.
F.Y.I Jolin was named the Best Female Singer and Most Favourite Female Artist at Taiwan's 18th Golden Melody Awards. To date, Jolin Tsai is one of the most successful and popular singers in the Asian region.
I think it's a really rare luck to be able to collaborate one's favourite idols, what's more, when the idol is the very legendary KYLIE MINOGUE. It's INDEED an honour.
